When setting up to use secure email (SSL), iphones change the port number and this needs to be changed back.
The port number automatically changes to 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP), you need to change it back to 143 (IMAP) or 110 (POP)
Also need to make a similar change to the outgoing SMTP server.
Now tap the back arrow next to 'Advanced' at the top of the screen and then tap SMTP under 'Outgoing Mail Server'. Next click on the 'Primary Server'. On the next screen, turn SSL On. The port number will change to an Apple default, change it back to 25 (or alternatively 2500 or 587).
